Sonia Santiago

Sonia Santiago is a distinguished music educator, voice instructor and solo artist.  She joined the Performing Arts Faculty here at The King’s Academy, in the fall of 2006. In this highly successful and well recognized music program, she has continued her specialized work with the young singer and with numerous aspiring musicians. Many of her students have gone on to very successful music careers as performers and educators.

David Skinner

David Skinner was born into a musical family. His mother is a pianist and three of his siblings are music educators. David has spent more than thirty years sharing his passion for musical and personal excellence with students. During that span of time he has served as a middle and high school band director, adjunct director of jazz studies, and community concert band conductor.

Wes Lowe

Wesley Lowe joined The King’s Academy as Assistant Director of Instrumental Arts in the spring of 2016. Wesley graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. During his undergraduate studies, he was principal tubist for the University Symphony Orchestra and the University Symphonic Wind Band.

Robin Phillips

Robin has been a part of The King’s Academy’s Fine Arts program with 21 years of experience in Elementary Vocal Music and 4 years in Secondary Choral. She graduated from Mars Hill University near Asheville, NC with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. Most know her as the director of the yearly Elementary Christmas program and The King’s Kids, an award winning children’s choir.

Patrick Clifford

Mr. Patrick Clifford received his Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and his Master of Music degree in violin performance from the University of Miami. His students are frequent competition winners and many hold leadership positions in their respective orchestras. He currently resides in Lantana, Florida with his wife Belen and their two children Nathan and Joanna.

Cathy Higgins

Cathy's professional teaching experience includes 15 years in the dance department at Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts, 15 years with Thomas Dance Studio, 3 years with School of Ballet Arts and guest master teacher for Boca Ballet, Southern Dance Theatre and the Los Angeles County High School of the Arts (LACHSA), where she was also commissioned to choreograph.

Risselle Portuondo

Risselle Alexandra Portuondo began her dance training in West Palm Beach, Florida at The Academy of Ballet Florida and boasts a history of 21 years of dancing. She graduated from The Boston Conservatory in 2014 and received her B.F.A. in Contemporary Dance. She has performed along with the professional company of Ballet Florida in works to include The Nutcracker by Marie Hale.

Laura McFaden

Laura McFaden earned her B.A. in studio arts from Rollins College and her M.A.T. in Visual Arts teaching with highest honors from The Rhode Island School of Design. Before joining TKA, she was the Specialist Coordinator and Lead Art Educator for the Washington International School in Washington, DC for the past 9.5 years.

Macey Norton

Macey is a videographer and video production business owner. She graduated from The King’s Academy in 2008 and then graduated from Biola University, in Los Angeles, with a degree in film production in 2013. She has experience with videography from weddings, music videos, corporate videos and many styles in between.

Sarah Fahey

Sarah recently finished her BFA in Theater at NYU’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. She began her education at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute where she studied method acting and musical theater. Sarah, TKA class of 2012, is thrilled to be teaching and sharing her passion for theater at The King’s Academy

Brad Majzner

He began working his skills in lighting and sound in church settings, being employed at  Fellowship Church(West Palm Beach), The Crossing Church (Tampa), Student Leadership University, and Redeemer Church of Orlando. Brad is excited to be back for another year teaching students his craft in lighting, sound, and stage-sets. He hopes to glorify The Lord with these gifts and be an example of Christ-likeness to his students.

Beth Popadic

Public Relations

Beth is in charge of all the marketing and public relations for the department. This includes creating all brochures, logos, posters, playbills, etc. Beth also designs and executes the lobby for each of the shows, giving the patrons a little glimpse of what awaits them inside. Graduating with a degree in Visual Arts from Taylor University, Beth is well suited for this role and enjoys using her creativity to promote this department.

Amber Loveland

For two years prior to her hiring, Amber volunteered in the Fine Arts Department demonstrating her talents as a photographer taking cast and performance pictures.  Even as a volunteer, she was a dedicated team member.  Growing up being involved in choir and theatre, Amber feels right at home in the Fine Arts Department.
